What Happened:

When 21-year-old Briana Brady witnessed her employer, Phyllis Lucca, owner of The Happy Puppy Pet Spa in Venice Florida, viciously treating animals left in her care, she was heartbroken by what she was forced to witness. She knew if anything was going to change, she had get indisputable evidence. However, before Briana had an opportunity to collect any evidence, one of the worse things possible happened... A dogs jaw was broken, its abdomen severely bruised, and its ears left bloody! Briana, scared, disobeyed the "no cellphone' policy, in hopes of being able to get video of Phyllis Lucca abusing an animal so that it would not be her word against the word of this pillar in the community.
BINGO! Briana got the video that she never in her life thought she would have to get... a grown woman, in a position of trust, in a profession that Briana loves and respects, choking a defenseless, tiny, precious fur baby! The fact that Phyllis committed such an act, let alone in front of Briana, just one week after allegedly breaking another dog’s jaw, makes one wonder exactly what this woman is capable of!
Wanting to protect any other animal from ever enduring a "groom" from The Happy Puppy Pet Spa, Briana posted the video on Facebook and the threatening voicemail Phyllis left, firing her and telling her she will never be able to get a job at any other pet salon!
Throughout the media backlash, Phyllis has maintained her innocence and professes that she was providing medical attention to the visibly conscience dog which she also calls and expletive. I implore you to view the video, with sound on, and draw your own logical conclusion. I do want to warn you that the video is disturbing.
Briana, is a 21-year-old, married mother of one, and recently lost her other job because of all of the attention this has created.
The money collected from this campaign will go towards living expenses, food, and diapers. It would be amazing if we could get her some seed money to perhaps start her own grooming business. Lets show Briana how thankful we are for giving our fur babies a voice!
