Dog Saves Family!

While we slept in our beds at 4:30am this morning, Chelsye Mason, her baby girl Dakota, boyfriend Vernon, and his brother Gary were awakened, thankfully by their dog Hemi to their trailer engulfed in flames. Hemi saved their lives, but lost his in the process. Chelsye grabbed Kota and got her out to safety, but by the time Vern got to Gary and they got out, Vern was hurt. Vernon was sent to Bridgton hospital, then life flighted to Maine Medical Center where he is in ICU, badly burned. Knowing Vern, he would probably do it all over again to save his brother. It's what you do...it's what he does.
Thankfully, their older daughter was away on vacation. Small blessings, we'll take!
There is so much I could say, but the fact is...they need help!
They have lost everything and need support. Please be kind and share the love, post, and kind thoughts for this family facing an uphill, scary battle.
