Today marks exactly two years since Carla was last seen in Pisac, Peru. That's 730 days without knowing the whereabouts of my sister. Without knowing where she may be or what may have happened to her. It is unimaginably painful.
My family and I continue to work tirelessly on her case every single day. Although we have encountered various set backs, my family has no intentions of quitting. We are here for Carla and we will find her. We are more determined than ever.
We ask that if you are able, please help us continue this fight to find Carla. We have generated over $80,000 in generous donations thus far and we are hoping to reach our goal of $100,000.
Your donations will be put to work immediately to pay for resources that the Peruvian and US governments do not provide. This is integral to the success of Carla's case. In tandem, we are working to bring awareness to the dangers of traveling alone in this region of Peru and advocating for other families who have experienced similar circumstances. Thank you all for your overwhelming show of love and support in our ongoing search for Carla. Over the course of the last year so many of you have shared with our family how Carla impacted your life in a positive way. Strangers that have been touched by Carla's story have sent us so many kind words and accounts of their own hardships endured. Every bit of it gives us strength to continue fighting for answers. We miss Carla everyday and will not give up until we bring her home.
Since the disappearance of my sister, my father has left his old life behind and is currently living in Peru . He works tirelessly on her case with authorities everyday. Your generous donations have enabled my father to remain in Cusco full time and pay for additional resources not provided by the government .
We understand we still may have a long journey ahead of us. We are raising our goal to $100,000.

El día 12 de diciembre fue la ultima vez cuando fue vista en el pueblo de Pisac, al norte de Cusco.
Estamos desesperadamente tratando de encontrar a Carla y necesitamos fondos adicionales para continuar los esfuerzos presente de búsqueda y rescate. Los recursos de las autoridades locales son escasos.
Estamos pidiendo recaudar fondos, no importa la cantidad para coordinar los esfuerzos de los profesionales para ayudar en la búsqueda y rescate de Carla.

We have reached our initial goal of $50,000 thanks to the incredible amount of support we have received from Carla's beloved community in Detroit, her family, her friends across the world and to strangers who have been so generous. This investigation continues at full force because of all of you. My family thanks you. It is truly overwhelming.
So far, your donations have been put into action by hiring additional search, rescue and investigative personnel who are on the ground in Peru this very moment. Your donations have also helped keep our father in the region, putting pressure on officials and authorities to see this investigation through.
Because this investigation is so complex, we have begun planning for the long term. We are raising our goal to $75,000. Please pass this along to anyone that may be willing to help. We are asking for donations large and small to coordinate efforts with professionals to aide in the Search and Rescue of Carla.
