Help Cinthea Sparacino Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
In January 2019 my family got the devastating news that my mother, Cinthea Sparacino, has lung cancer. After a lot of painful tests, and biopsies, it was determined that her cancer was too aggressive to operate on, or cure, and that it had started spreading to her esophagus, back, and adrenals. She has undergone 10 rounds of radiation to her chest, that left her unable to speak or eat for weeks. She has started chemotherapy, and has three more intensive rounds to go. She is fighting so hard.

And that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, because those who  know my mother can attest to the fact that she is an actual angel on this Earth. Both her and my father have been through so much in life, and yet they are the hardest working, strongest human beings I know. If I have any ounce of bravery, courage, strength or goodness within me — it is because of them.

My sisters and I grew up in what we called an open household — if any of our friends needed anything, my parents were there for them. I spent my childhood watching my mother take in my sister's friends who had difficult lives at home, I watched as we took in family members that were going through hardship, I watched as my mom left her job to take care of my fathers mother when she had a stroke, and I watched as she continued to do so for ten years of her life, up until the day she was diagnosed with this disease.

My father has not been able to work as much due to having to take care of my mother, and seeing him nurture her and take her to all of her appointments, cook for her, organize her medication, etc has warmed my heart — but I can also see how burdened with stress he is over his sudden loss of income, and the constant reality of paying bills, a mortgage, etc. Because taking care of someone who is undergoing radiation, and chemotherapy, is a 24 hour job, I can see how exhausted he is. I can see that he needs help.

So, while my mother has dedicated her life to helping others, while she has been strong for everyone around her, it is now it is my turn to help her. It is now my turn to be strong for her while she fights for her life.

If you would like to join the fight, too, please consider donating. The emotional burden of this disease is debilitating enough, and your donations would help to ease the financial burden, in even the smallest of ways, to ensure that my mother can focus on treatment, and treatment alone.

If you cannot donate in a monetary way, I hope you know how much it is appreciated that you even got this far on this page, and that you heard our story. Your prayers, and positive thoughts, are just as welcomed, and they mean the world to our family.
