22 veterans a day take their own lives due to triggering points associated with combat stress. That's one veteran every 65 minutes.

Simon Litke was a combat decorated United States Marine. Everyone who knew Litke would characterize him as charming, http://www.savethebrave.org/final-salute/ , encouraging, and a leader. As a leader of Marines, Litke taught men how to survive, and also made the days under the hot Ramadi sun bearable. On November 2, 2015 Litke left us with a lot of questions unanswered. We lost an iconic Marine to the battles we still face as veterans.

Please help us to help his loved ones heal, as we attempt to fly out to Litke’s memorial on November 12. 40 Veterans who served with Litke in the Iraq theater of combat are requesting assistance in the form of $20,000 in order to say their final goodbyes to their brother.

Sadly, this tragedy can either promote more despondency and spread a contagious outbreak of trauma. Or this tragedy can bring America’s warriors together and help stop the torment of the debilitating nature of combat stress. You can be a part of the healing that America owes to our young men who sacrificed their life in support of this nation’s freedom.

Save The Brave is a 501c3 charity with a mission to reduce veteran suicide. 22 veterans a day take their own lives and Save The Brave is working towards reducing these numbers by committing to assisting veterans in the difficulties of rebuilding their lives. Through reconnecting and interacting with other affected veterans.

Simon Litke leads us on a final mission as we lay him to rest. Simons final mission is to stop the spread of the fatal consequences that destroy our Veterans at an alarming rate. Already Simon’s death has given other Veterans the strength to seek help from each other through verbally communicating their struggles.
You can help Simon accomplish his final mission by bringing all his brothers together to give their final salute and their continual pledge to keep each other accountable to the high standards of brotherhood instilled by the Marine Corps.

Now that this tragedy has happened to one of the best warriors America had it highlights the serious nature of combat stress. The impact of his sudden death has awaken the ranks he served with to the reality of the statistics, 22 Veterans a day.
