Marta: a life lived in collision

This story is about courage and the quest for belonging.

Concept: This book is about a woman conceived at the sunset of Hitler's reign.  An affair between a white German mother and a black soldier sets the roller coaster in motion for Marta. The racial, political and familial confluence of events that ensued, leads readers down an equally heart wrenching and heart warming path...this tale of human life in collision, in search of love and belonging, will hit your heart and head with equal force...Marta, the main character in this story, will inspire you with her courage and her determination.  She will take you on a treasure hunt to find the gifts among the wreckage, rather than becoming part of the wreckage....

Since my move back to Germany I have invested significant dollars and time for researching and interviewing historians. I have worked on the scripts, interviewed writers and found people to talk to who can recall WW2 and the years after. It was crucial to relive the past and bring the truth and facts to this story.  Some of these truths are not found in our history books. It is through human connection with those who were there that we can find the missing bits. I am prepared to invest all that I have for this important project.
