Filmemacher verliert alles in einem Brand

Wem ist was passiert? (English version below)
Unser lieber Freund und Filmemacher Jens Holzheuer hat bei einem Wohnungsbrand alles verloren.

Was ist genau passiert?
Als seine Wohnung an einem Freitag im April durch eine defekte Steckdose in Flammen aufging, war er jobbedingt glücklicherweise nicht zu Hause und auch sonst wurde keiner aus seinem Haus gesundheitlich durch den Brand beeinträchtigt. Trotzdem: seine Filmsammlung, die seltenen Filmposter und Bücher und nicht zuletzt persönliche Erinnerungsstücke wie Fotos werden wir nicht zurückholen können.

Was wir tun können:
Jens braucht eine neue Wohnung, für die Kaution gezahlt werden muss. Die Kaution der alten Wohnung wird der Vermieter mit der Schuttbeseitigung verrechnen. Zwar muss Jens zum Glück nicht für den Brandschaden aufkommen, aber da die Feuerwehr fast alles aus dem Zimmer auf die Straße geworfen hat, musste hier jemand die Abfuhr des „Mülls“ organisieren.
Auch braucht Jens quasi einen kompletten Hausstand. Dann gibt es noch eine Festplatte mit persönlichen Erinnerungen, die gerettet werden kann, aber leider ist dies mit erheblichen Kosten verbunden.

Warum wir helfen sollten:
Wer mit Jens befreundet ist, findet seine eigene Antwort hierzu.
Wer Filmfan ist kann hier quasi Not-Kulturförderung betreiben, denn wohnungslos lässt sich schlecht der nächste Kultfilm planen. Wer also die „ABCs of Superheroes“ im Kino genießen durfte oder als Filmschaffender oder Filmfan genug Solidarität aufzubringen vermag, der möge einen kleinen Betrag dazugeben.

What happened and to whom?
Our dear friend and filmmaker Jens has lost all his belongings in a fire.

What exactly happened?
Luckily Jens was far away on a work trip in Munich the Friday morning the fire started in his flat. It was caused by a defective multiple plug and spread quickly in his tiny studio flat filled up to the ceiling with precious things. Luckily no one in his block of flats was hurt and no one’s health was affected by the fire or smoke.
Still, his film collection and his rare film posters and books he’d been collecting since his early teenage years, and not to forget all those items that had a personal value and memories associated with them are all gone and no one cannot replace them.

What we can do:
Jens needs a new place to live and will need some funds to pay for the deposit. His old landlord is using his deposit toward the costs of removing the debris that were once his belongings. Jens will not be liable for the damage caused by the fire, but as the fire brigade just chucked everything out of his window out into the street, someone had to organise the professional removal and disposal of the “debris”, and as it is Jens’ debris he is financially responsible for its disposal.
As Jens is left with nothing, he’ll also need new furniture and household goods. There is also a hard drive with lots photos on it that was damaged when thrown out of the window. It can be fixed, but this will be much more expensive than expected.
