My name is Feenics Ryzin, and I started this campaign on behalf of my little sister Tywana Fountain-the nurse who's found herself as the patient. To our whole family's surprise, Tywana was diagnosed with breast cancer (Invasive Mammary Carcinoma with Neuroendocrine Features) on December 7, 2016. At that time, she underwent a unilateral mastectomy. Days after her release from the hospital, she was informed that the cancer had already spread to her lymph nodes and that she would be undergoing a full body scan to determine if the cancer has metastasized to other parts of her body. She was also informed that she'd be undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
Completely blindsided by this diagnosis, Tywana has been forced to take off from work. Also, her insurance will only cover partial payments for chemotherapy treatments. Due to her loss of income, she and her husband face the challenge of supporting a family of four and paying for out-of-pocket costs for her treatments on a single income.
How can you help? Well, her estimated out-of-pocket costs for treatment are as high as $8500! Her expenses to keep her household going far exceed the remaining $1500. However, if we can raise the requested amount of $10000, it would help immensely help her with her expenses, and our family would be eternally grateful!
Tywana's treatments will start in the next couple of weeks. We are praying for her swift recovery and triumph over breast cancer, so that she and her husband can continue with their plans to have their first child together!
When does Tywana need this donation? ASAP! The doctor has already placed her on leave from work. Fortunately, her employers have promised to hold her job for her until she’s able to return. However, as stated earlier, due to her inability to work, she doesn't have any income.
I love my sister so much, and it breaks my heart when I think about the battle she faces. But, she's a fighter, and she's in high spirits, keeping the spirits of everyone around her lifted! I would very much appreciate everyone's help in reaching our $10000 goal! Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!
