Fighting for Francheska

Donation protected
Francheska is my dearest friend and fellow autism mom. She's no stranger to the word "warrior"--fighting for all that severe autism has taken from her sweet boy Christian has shown her that. Now, she has to also be a warrior for herself, while also continuing to be a warrior for her child.

In June 2017, a lump was found on her right breast and after a mammogram and biopsy were performed she was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma). She is scheduled to see an oncologist, and has applied for the caring bridge program as well, but may not qualify.  As the cancer is fast growing and aggressive, she and her family urgently need assistance in order to pursue treatment for her now... as she truly cannot afford to wait.  I will post updates as she gets them.

Francheska is a Licensed Vocational Nurse "LVN" and had to leave her career to care for Christian full-time, as he has severe autism. This year she started back to school to pursue her RN and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. Her husband Matt works very hard to provide for his family, but unfortunately his job does not offer insurance benefits. As Christian has a 6 day per week  therapy schedule, medical needs in addition to his autism needs, continuing school, let alone working while undergoing the recommended intensive, aggressive treatment will be impossible for Francheska.

I hope to raise enough funds to assist her in her battle with cancer and the associated ongoing expenses.
This would include costs incurred for possibly seeing a Naturopathic doctor for supplements that could help maintain her immune system while the chemotherapy worked at eradicating the cancer.  She is also researching the benefits of massage therapy, cranial sacral therapy, Reiki, and acupuncture to help with side effects and overall healing.

The mind and body work together not separately and health is defined as being whole. For Francheska, that means balancing all of the systems: mind, body and spirit,  in order to heal properly.

All donation withdrawals, and delivery of funds from this campaign, to Francheska, will be managed by Francheska's Mom, Maria Medina.

Please consider supporting Francheska's fight with breast cancer.

**A letter from Francheska's dad**:

My first born of only two children: Francheska.

As a very young child she accepted the responsibility of taking care of her brother while I, her father, completed my education and her mother provided the most basic of income. She was a latch-key child with adult responsibilities.

On January 19, 2011, she gave birth to our only  grandchild.  Christian was born premature and is such a joy.  Sometime after, around 18-months , he became autistic.  Non- verbal to this date.  He requires 25/7 care which she has acccepted. She is however, unemployed and has not the resources for insurance coverage. She has continued her education and is close to completing her RN.

Additionally, she has dedicated her free time (when Christian is in therapy ) to the Organization of Ausome Moms.  The organization provides hope and support to parents of children with Autism.

On June 28, 2017, Francheska was advised that she has invasive duct carcinoma (aggressive breast cancer).  The doctor who saw her remarked that it needs immediate and aggressive treatment and she has made an appointment with an oncologist.

I know that there are many persons suffering from this type of disease and my prayers go out to them.  Be assured that this is not an easy request but I throw myself at your mercy.  I do not request specific amount for any amount of generousity is greatly appreciated.

In gratitude,
Francheska's Dad
