Fighting Local Poverty

Embarras River Basin Agency (ERBA) is a Community Action Agency serving individuals and families, young and old alike, of Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland Counties in Illinois.  It is our mission to help those less fortunate or affected by a crisis with a hand up in reaching goals and attaining a higher level of self-sufficiency.

The funds received from your donations will be used to aid all programs offered by ERBA, meaning they could be used when funds from our federal or state grants have been exhausted; or the funds could allow us to help people when no program is available for their specific need.

ERBA operates assistance programs year round and your donations are important to our sustainability any time of year.  ERBA is an exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Donors may deduct contributions to us as provided in Section 170 of the Code, and bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, or gifts to us or for our use are deductible for federal estate and gift tax purposes (if they meet the applicable provisions of Sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of the Code).
