Fight for Karen

On January 6^th 2014 I lost an important person in my life. Karen had been battling cancer for many years and resolutely carried on in spite of the sickness attacking her body. After completing the most recent round of chemotherapy, Karen told me she was "too busy to be sick." She was a willful, determined woman. She was an inspiration who encouraged me to push harder, reach higher, and to see past life's trials and behold the beautiful things that lay beyond.

Karen was many things to many people: sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, wife, a great friend, but above all she was loved. Those same people who loved her were there in her last moments to see her through the transition between our shared existence and whatever lies beyond. She will be forever missed. Time will dull the pain of her passing but the world will always be a little darker for the loss of the beautiful light that is Karen Titus.


She is beyond the pain and suffering that cancer forced upon her and those who love her, but her family still has many things to overcome. Seth, her husband, works through his grief to pay for numerous medical bills.
