Hi everyone. My name is Melissa and I’m setting up this page to help my incredible mother, Debra, in her fight against stage 4 breast cancer. My mom needs a life-saving cancer treatment that is not covered by her insurance. She is my best friend, a wonderful mother and an amazing grandmother and she deserves to get the best treatment available so that she can beat cancer! My mom is so kind-hearted and loving and my girls and I would be lost without her.
My mom was first diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer about a year ago. She went through months of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. We were so happy that she “beat” cancer that I even threw her a “Debra kicked cancer’s ass” party! Little did we know that our victory would be short-lived, 10 months to be exact. Just weeks ago we found out that mom’s cancer was back, with vengeance. She is now has stage 4 breast cancer, which has traveled to her lung and in her lymph nodes. Her cancer is very aggressive and moving fast…. Her treatment options are extremely limited and the clock is ticking. We have searched the world and have found a hospital that can and will give her an alternative lifesaving treatment. Mom will be in an intensive treatment program for 4 weeks and unfortunately her insurance will NOT pay for this treatment. The total cost of this treatment is $51,000. To begin treatment, the program must be paid in full, upfront. The hospital is reserving a spot for my mom, all that is left is raising the money to cover the treatment. Once we have received enough funds, she can begin to receive this lifesaving treatment, immediately.
With the support of her family, friends and God, my mom KNOWS she can beat this!
I am asking for your help on my mother’s behalf. Please, if you are able to make a donation we would greatly appreciate it. Imagine this…if 510 people donated $100 or 1,020 people donated $50 we could send my mom to treatment immediately!!
