Alzheimer's patients fidget quilts
Donation protected
My father is a full-time, 75 year old seniors minister named Roland Scroggins that lives in Ocala FL. He, along with my mother, Janet Scroggins, goes to rest homes to play the piano, sing and give an encouraging message to the residents.
He sees a great deal of Alzheimer and Dementia patients there. Recently he has taken up sewing, and found out these fidget quilts can really help people with these debilitating diseases. These are lap quilts with different textures to feel, and things to open and close to keep hands busy.
He buys all the material himself, and then donates his time and the finished product to the rest home.
I'm hoping to help raise some funds so he can continue doing this.
