Bring Music to Friends for Life

Music and Memory  is a program that "helps people in nursing homes and other care organizations who suffer from a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges to find renewed meaning and connection in their lives through the gift of personalized music." Friends for Life, a non-profit organization located in Waco, Texas, would like to bring Music & Memory to our Day Care Center.

Our Day Care Center provides a safe environment for 80 to 100 adults with disabilities and seniors that includes nursing care, personal care, meals, transportation, and a fun and interesting activity schedule. Family members can continue to work because the Friends for Life Adult Day Care Center provides quality care for their loved ones during the day.




Music & Memory's work is rooted in extensive neuroscience research. Bringing this program to Friends for Life would benefit our clients by helping clients to escape the isolation of Dementia, making clients happier and more social, deepening relationships among clients and staff, improving behavior management issues, and much more!

To start the program, we need an initail $1,000 to pay for the training. After that is payed, we will need more funding to pay for ipods, headphones, and iTunes gift cards. Please help us to reach our goal of raising $2000 to start using this program in our facility!
