Fighting For Ellie: Season 2

On 23rd April 2016, Blyth will come together once more to celebrate the memory of our very own Princess Ellie, who's name has become a symbol of community, pro-action and generosity in our little town.
Blyth's love for Ellie and for her family has provided the catalyst for over £100,000 being raised for The Meninigits Research Foundation and The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the RVI in just 5 short years under the banner of Princess Ellies Trust - which has been tirelessly built from the ground up by Ellie's parents to become the insititution that it is today.
April's Fighting For Ellie: Season 2 will be the 4th FFE event and the second in partnership with Blyth's Millennium Martial Arts who are also on the path to great success.
After raising an incredible £13,565.28 at Season 1 last year, resulting in the charity smashing the £100k milestone, Season 2 has been moved from a 350-seater venue to one that can hold 800 people (Blyth Sports Centre), and well over half of the tickets were sold the night that they were released! So it's safe to say that Season 2 is going to be bigger and better than ever!
And this time I've put myself forward to fight!
I probably couldn't be more excited and terrified at the same time but I'm training hard and learning all the time - so am hopeful that the fact that I have no natural fighting prowess whatsoever will be cancelled out by the work that I'm putting in!
I seem to have been surrounded by fight events recently what with hosting Fight For Kian & helping out with the last Fighting for Ellie as well as Millennium's last Home Show - and I've heard so much about the experience of stepping into the ring, that I couldn't resist having a go.
So here goes!
If you're able to sponsor me for stepping probably as far out of my comfort zone as it's possible to get, I would appreciate that very, very much!
