Fetch Bistro's Improvements Fund

Fetch Bistro was an idea my husband, Greg, and I have had for quite some time now. We LOVE our dogs, who are like family to us, and we were sad to leave them at home every day. We realized that there isn't many places you can take your dog at all, let alone to enjoy some food.

Being in the food business for 6 years, the idea hit us right in the face, like a dog who's bad at catching treats! Why don't we make a restaurant that is not only a good environment and great food, but allows you to bring both your two and four legged kids with you, too! We instantly got to work. How would we create the first ever high quality restaurant in Kansas that allows dogs? Can dogs be in restaurants? What laws and codes do we need to make this happen? What should we put on the doggy menu?

We went to work and today we have an incredible staff, who help make FANTASTIC food and a friendly environment for every guest that walks in the door. Fetch Bistro has recieved 20... yes thats right... 20 FIVE STAR ratings in the past two weeks on Facebook. People love to come with or without their dogs to try our awesome food or see our family dogs, Chuck and Solomon. Come in and take a picture, then tag us on Facebook, so we can show the whole Fetch Bistro Community! We make sure to take care of every guest's needs. We have plenty of guests who aren't the biggest animal fans, so we cater to them and make sure to seat them appropriately!

I am happy and proud to say we have been in business for more than 8 months, and we love our community with such cute pets that visit our happy place! The past 8 months may seem like a breeze to people at first glance, but they were far from it. We had many ups and downs. Starting a new restaurant with this dog theme in November, we failed to realize the cold weather would make for a struggle. Things got better, but after months of accumulating debt, it has been difficult to get out of that hole. Shortly after we started seeing some progress with warmer weather, we had multiple unfortunate events. Our kitchen's water heater broke down and forced us to close our doors. We went further into the pockets we don't have to replace the water heater for about $1400.

This is why we need your help! We love our community and love serving all of you even more. Any help you can give, even if you can just share with your friends, is greatly appreciated from every single person involved with Fetch Bistro. After these mishaps, we worked day and night to make our happy place a fun and inviting place for everyone. We are now flowing confidently and hear an overwhelming amount of awesome feedback from the happy people that come in to see us.

We want to continue to make Fetch Bistro a great place by listening to our community. One thing our community has stressed this summer is that they want us to serve alcohol. With the past set backs we are unable to do this. We want to make Fetch Bistro better by doing events with alcohol, but need help to do so. We love our community and we appreciate every person that donates or shares our happy place in any way, because we know that every little bit helps!

Much love & many thanks,

Pamela and Greg Buss with Fetch Bistro
