My name is JM Pederi. I am a Certified Public Accountant. I was born in the province of Negros Oriental of Southern Philippines. I grew up in a place where eating 3 times a day is already a luxury. Due to the lack of food, a lot of children goes to school hungry or worse, they stop attending at all.
40 Years later, I could say I was able to get out including my family. We persisted and I got scholarship from high school and then collage. However the hunger in our place continue, that's why my siblings and I decided to give what we can. Every now and then, we create feeding programs, however just like most programs, we were unable to sustain it.
Through a number of partnerships and affiliations, we are now capable of bringing a nutritious meal pack, scientificaly formulated to provide 25 Vitamins and Minerals providing nourishment not only to the children's stomach but also for their brain development. We started this program 3-5yrs ago and the results are very encouraging. We have parents telling us that their children's school performance improved a lot and even their physical development. This moved us to extend to a couple of other provinces and happily got positive feedbacks.
The reason I created this campaign is to ask for your support to feed at least 1,000 Filipino children in our province for Christmas. We will be documenting every dollar of your contribution. While Philippines has been growing steadily for the past few years, it's economic effect hasn't trickled down yet to the most remote provinces, and we thought we can do something about it. Hunger and malnutrition has been prevailing to be one of the main hindrances in children to fulfill their greatest potential. And with our collective efforts, we can provide more meals for these children and help them see a brighter future thus becoming the hopes of the next generation as we have always envisioned our children to be.
