WHEELCHAIR VAN FOR VALERIE
Hi. My name is Valerie Warriner. I would like to tell you a little about myself and why I am doing this Go Fund Me. I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother. When my daughter and grandchildren were growing up, I took them everywhere- to the beach, camping, carnivals, school activities.
I have also been a foster parent, a Salvation Army volunteer, and I have volunteered for both Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts for over 20 years. I have also opened my home to homeless folks and family and friends in need.
None of these things felt difficult for me to do. Helping others is natural and easy for me.
This is the hardest thing for me to do – ASK FOR HELP- I need help to get a down payment for a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Any amount would help. I have helped others my entire life and without my mobility I can’t help anyone, nor can I do the things I used to take for granted.
I want to be able to do things with my great grandson that I did with the other grandchildren. Rain or shine we have to walk, or in my case wheel, to get to the school bus. As you can imagine, ordinary errands are a challenge – doctor appointments, grocery shopping, school activities. Please help anyway you can.
