Kyley and his family would like to take the time out to thank each and every one of you for being such a huge support during this hard time. We could not have made it without all of the texts, e- mails, calls, visits, help, prayers and many more acts of love. It definitely has not gone unnoticed. We love and appreciate all of you!
As many of you know Kyley was in a dirt biking accident on October 9th with some friends in the 10 mile wash area. He was life flighted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and there was pronounced with many injuries including a broken back, broken ribs, multiple fractures and torn muscles. As a result from all of the severe injuries it has left Kyley paralyzed from the chest area down. He has had surgery to repair his back so hopefully he will be able to sit up again. After surgery Kyley developed pneumonia in both lungs. He was intubated and put on a ventilator while his pneumonia slowly got better. He failed the breathing test to breath on his own which led to his next surgery to put in a tracheostomy. The trach is for a more long term solution to help Kyley breath until his damaged lungs can breath on their own. As many of you can imagine the medical bills can be very overwhelming. Kyley has been in the NSTICU for over 3 weeks now. I am Kyleys cousin Hollie. I was really wanting to get something set up to benefit this wonderful family. So many people have asked what they can do and if a fund has been set up. With a lot of prayer and research we have decided to send Kyley to a wonderful rehab facility in Denver Colorado which specifically deals with and helps with Kyleys exact injury. The insurance company will pay for Kyley to stay there for 40 days. They are estimating he will be there for 70 days. The expenses will add up very quickly. We as a family really feel strongly about getting him to the best place so he can learn and get strong enough to move on with his new life. We are just so grateful that Kyley and his most important parts are still with us, his heart and his head. He such a wonderful person inside and out. "Let's Get Kyley To Colorado!"
