I'm raising money to go to Costa Rica to help construct and build community toilets and a community centre for a village. While I'm in the village and living with the villagers, I will have an opportunity to help cook and learn the local cuisine.
I have decided, for my fund-raising efforts, to shave the whole of my head and also my legs. I've been growing my hair for the past 6 months, my hair is quite long, for me. I have included a picture of the length of my hair, so you will see how much I will be shaving off.
I will spend 4 weeks away from my home and family, but this opportunity will give me the experience few 16-year-olds get to do.
The support I will receive enables me to help by volunteering in a part of the world I would not probably get to see in my life and to help people I wouldn't normally meet, young people like me, it's something I think will help me in my future life.
Grateful is always a word used to say thank you to people who help others, but to say I am grateful is an understatement. I want to say a HUGE, MASSIVE, ENORMOUS thank you
for helping me achieve this goal.
