Laura Masterson and family

The Masterson Family has endured more pain and hardship than most could imagine. Laura and Marty Masterson have both fought a long hard battle for 2 of their children, Daniel and Valerie who were both born with Cystic Fibrosis.
In 2010 at the age of 27, their daughter Valerie was able to receive a double lung transplant. However, her body eventually showed signs of rejection and she was put on oxygen to help her breathe.
Unfortunately, their son Daniel lost his battle with the disease in 2011 at the age of 25.
A recent trip to Florida ended in tragedy on Christmas Eve when the car Valerie, her husband Jeremy, Laura and Marty were traveling in was struck from behind by another vehicle. Their vehicle along with the trailer they were towing were both totaled. Jeremy managed to walk away with minor injuries, however Marty suffered several broken bones and Laura suffered massive bruising. Valerie sustained the worst of the injuries with broken ribs and a broken shoulder. She also had to be put on a ventilator.
The family had to stay in a hotel for several weeks while Marty and Laura recovered from injuries and also until it was safe to relocate their daughter back to Michigan. Sadly, Valerie passed away from complications before they could bring her home.
The emotional and financial needs have taken a toll on this beautiful family in so many ways. Please join us in helping to ease their financial burdens for medical bills, funeral costs, expenses unforseen that are associated with this devastating turn of events.
