Is a kiss between soul mates just a kiss or a stepping stone to something more?

It's  "Brown Sugar" meets "What If" for a new generation.


Why should you give a F.A.W.K.?

We shall answer this by first asking a question: How many films do you know that highlight genuine, true-blue friendship between the opposite sex, that does not derive from a sexual past or sexual tension? How many of those films highlight Black friendships like so? That's where we started.

Teamed up to bring to you a new kind of classic romance-comedy, we aim to challenge the traditional question:

Can men and women be "just friends" (platonically), or is the foundation these relationships are built on just deeper desire uncharted?

FAWK paints a truth that friendships between men and women can thrive organically, without having to explore romantic possibilities, first. It allows us to see what transpires between kindred-spirits when they express, for the first time, what they themselves are discovering in real-time.

Created, written, directed and filmed by women - and people of many shades of brown - FAWK proves that stories of the Black experience are not monolithic; but colorful, varied and nuanced. Here is a community of people who pulled together to bring the vision of one to life. Though it is relatively easy, these days, to pick up a camera and go, it takes a certain kind of commitment to bring together a crew of like-passioned individuals who are invested in quality of story and product. That is what we were able to accomplish and what we are seeking to continue.
