Father Goose is a Grammy award winner with Dan Zanes and Friends on the album “Catch That Train.”
 
As “The King of the Dance Party,” he has created his own spin-off titled “Father Goose and The Goose Trotters Band.” It’s based on a journey of his musical life from the Caribbean to the rest of the world.
Music, games and stories from his childhood, combined with homemade and some familiar Caribbean music that creates the perfect blend for a dance party.


Father Goose is extremely passionate in providing music education and aid to underprivileged youths and their families, by creating a free funfest event, which includes a live concert, music workshop and also giving charitable personal care
packages  to children in need.

Our membership includes: full-time and part-time performers, songwriters, music educators, record producers, and schoolteachers.

We write, sing, play, perform, share, teach, produce and enjoy family music.

Our curriculum is based on the most current research on how students learn.

Mission/Plan
To create a star-studded (special guest artist)
family music project, which includes
a free live performance followed by a music workshop and activities as well as free gifts, such as: books, personal care kits and school supplies.

With your help the Father Goose campaign will bring joy and aid to the world one community at a time.

Free Live Performance/Workshop/Gift Care Packages
A staple factor of the event is the audience participation, everyone gets in on the act with lots of playing, singing and dancing.  The free live performance will get parents and kids involved with interactive sing-alongs. After the live performance our program will offer a music workshop.

Personal Care Kit (Goosetries)
Bags of items to hand out to families in need, such as: socks and gloves, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper and cotton swabs etc.

School Supplies (Read’em and Learn Kit)
Backpacks, books, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, backpacks, notebooks, crayons, pocket folders, spiral notebooks, kids scissors and glue etc.

Father Goose Music Workshop

We are diverse in all age, ethnicity, gender, religion and culture.

The Father Goose workshop features outstanding musicians that we are very proud of. Our group of excellent professionals comes from many diverse backgrounds with over 30 years of performing experience.  The F.G. workshop consist of a formal introduction to the individual band members with their musical instruments, next we will pair the students into small groups to get a one on one attention with the musicians. The groups would then rotate so students could get an opportunity with each band member.

By sharing songs plus exchanging ideas we are hoping to create substantial empowerment and economical growth in countless communities.

What This Means To Me?
I guess while growing up as a kid I saw my grandparents also my mother and Father being so generous, they would often to give to strangers and their families also to friends that were in need and I guess that was instill in me. By putting my passions together one is the love of music the other is the love of sharing I know that I could achieve my goal. There are too many people suffering in this world today, take Haiti for instance I know we could provide a huge service there.
