Father of Five was Deported

Donation protected
Hello My name is Yesenia Botello. I am not one to usually ask for help if it is not needed, but I feel I have no other choice now. My father Juan Botello was detained at his monthly meeting with ICE. I remember this day exactly, I got the day off work when there was no news of my father. I drove to the location that held his monthly meetings in hopes of seeing him, but the officer denied me my right to see him until he was transferred to a detention facility.

My father was not transferred until 11 PM. I called the detention center the next day and was told I could see him. My siblings and I were so happy at this thought; we left right away. It took about an hour to see him, only to realized that we would have to look at him through glass. We could not hug our father, we could not kiss him on the cheek, and we could not give nor receive love from him.

The next day he was transferred to Otero County Processing Center in New Mexico. We were not in contact with him until a week after he was moved there. He told us that he would be deported in about a week if his stay of removal was not renewed. My family and I had high hopes that it would be renewed. After all, my father had this stay of removal for 7 years and did not commit a crime. He has 5 children that are American Citizens. The oldest Fernando (23) is a graduate of diesel mechanic, Yesenia (20) is starting her sophomore year at UNC majoring in Psychology, Mariana (13) is starting 8th grade, and Alejandro (5) and Juan (5) are staring kindergarten. Sadly, his stay was denied and on July 18th, 2017, he was deported.

The head of the household right now is my brother and myself. We are currently looking for other jobs that can help pay the bills of the house and provide food for our younger siblings. But this takes time, and since the deportation of our father was so rushed, we have not had much luck, which is why we are seeking help for the house payments. We pay $1,223.71 every month, and we are only asking for help for 6 months through this transition. Hopefully, by then my brother and I are on our feet. Anything helps, thank you!
