Fashion for SAMH 2!

I am putting together a second Fashion Show in aid of SAMH (Scotland's Association for Mental Health) - https://www.samh.org.uk


Mental Health is a very personal thing for me, as I am aware it is for many people. As the issue is coming more into the light of society, I thought it would be a great opportunity to showcase people's opinions and raise money for a charity that supports it. 

The fashion show would be on Saturday the 26th of October 2019 (fingers crossed the city chambers is free then!) and with not a very long time to go... it's time to raise money!

Where will your money be going?
As part of the fashion show process, I am putting together a design team of 20 ish young people who will come together in meetings to work on their chosen theme and design outfits for it. Then we will go out to charity shops and vintage stores and buy (with the help of your donations) clothes to create up to 8 outfits for each theme. 

We are still deciding on the themes...

All of your money would either go towards the purchase of clothes, logistics of the actual event (staging, tickets, catering) or straight to the charity. 

As this event is entirely crowdfunded all of your donations would be of great use and would help to make a positive impact on many people. 

What will the raised money do?
SAMH have phone support and a helpline that is entirely funded by public donations and fundraising. It also costs only £20 to run 1 support session. SAMh operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland, including peer support, therapeutic horticulture, suicide prevention and homelessness.

As a non-profit organisation, SAMH relies on public donations and support. With the extremely worthwhile and life-changing work they do, you would be doing your community a great act of charity and justice by donating.
