Faraha's Family Assistance

The Faraha's family came to our tiny parish four months ago, fleeing the Congo through Mozambique.
Last week, one of their sons was shot on the street biking home from playing soccer with his brothers. Although Rafael is now home recouping, this has taken a tole on the whole family.
Out of the 19 family members, they speak only French, Portuguese and Swahili. They are starting to learn English and are so eager to engage in life here.
They have a rental home which would comfortably fit a family of seven. It has come to our attention that they do not even have a fan. With this third heat wave of the summer, we would like to purchase the family at least one window air conditioner.
Any additional funds raised will be given to the family.
These people have touched the hearts of our parish. In the short time here they have come to church every Sunday, always assisting wherever needed. Always with a smile on their faces.
