Robert E. (Robie) Wonson passed away in his home in Seal Rock, Oregon, surrounded by loved ones on November 18th, 2016, in a rapid relapse of the cancer which he had fought successfully four years before. He was 63.
Robie began his life of fishing at the age of 15 in Gloucester, eventually becoming captain and owner of the Elizebeth Ann. He moved to Oregon in 1980 and fished out of Newport as captain of the Jackson Bull, and later aboard the Captain Andy, the Deacon and most recemtly the Tempo.
