Family Helping Family (Recsky)

The Mission Minor Lacrosse Club is saddened to announce the passing of long-time volunteer Dean Recsky.

Dean was a passionate person who loved the game of lacrosse and contributed in nearly every facet a parent and volunteer could. Whether it was behind the bench coaching dozens of Mission players in both box and field, reffing everything from Tyke for Senior lacrosse, or playing the game for several years himself, Dean was a mainstay around rinks across the province. His presence will be greatly missed and we mourn his passing.

We cannot understate the influence Dean has had across the entire Mission association, and we know this must be absolutely heartbreaking for anyone who knew Dean. Judging by the amount of people that have already reached out to pass along condolences, it’s clear his impact was felt by many people in the extended lacrosse community.

We will miss Dean and his determination to make lacrosse a better sport for our children to play.
