Family cat shot and needs surgery

Our beloved family cat was shot close range with buckshot or birdshot. We have taken him to the vet thinking he may have been hit by a car. When the x-rays came back it showed 7 pellets lodged around his heart and his lungs, his head, and his right leg. One pellet went through his right eye which is going to require surgery to remove it before an infection breaks out. Another pellet was found in his right leg which is now broken and will require surgery to remove the pellet so he can heal properly. He currently has a splint on his leg to keep it immobile. We are in a rough patch with financials and It is a struggling battle trying to find options to pay for surgery. We are not a family to ever ask for anything but right now we need all of the help we can get. The total cost of surgery is $1200 + and I know everyone is struggling with finances but anything would be greatly appreciated. We have raised this cat since he was a kitten and knowing that someone shot him even with a bright pink, reflecting collar on breaks our hearts. Even after surgery he will still have a total of six pellets in him but those aren't seen as necessary surgery as they didn't damage anything that could cause issues. I am begging for as much help as we can get. This cat means so much to us and is a big piece of our hearts. He is in a lot of pain and it kills us knowing that we can't help him the way we need to help him right now. Again anything would be greatly appreciated..
