Families affected by the fire at Bridge Road

£2,687 of £5,000 goal

Raised by 103 people in 1 month
Four homes were destroyed by fire on Tuesday 14th May 2019.  We know that the resulting needs will be both immediate and long term.  For the price of a beer or coffee, together we can provide the help that will be so needed.  A big thank you to those who have been so generous already :D

There needs to be a final count but I can confidently announce that the target of £5000 to help those affected by the fire at Bridge Road has been exceeded by some margin thanks to the generosity of many kind people.
Yesterday's sell-out concert by the acclaimed Celtic Male Ensemble and guest soloist Hannah Pascoe raised a remarkable £2900. It was an evening of inspirational music and incredible musical talent! My sincere thanks to the choir, to Hannah and to the very talented and warm-hearted Alastair Taylor, not forgetting Alastair's Mum and Auntie, all those at St Illogan Parish Church who gave their time and energy before, during and after the concert.
I would also like to thank The Lowena Voices, The Cornwall Symphony Choir, Redruth Amateur Operatic Society, local churches, schools, and every kind and concerned individual for their generous contributions.
The 'gofundme' page will stay open for the time being so please feel free to share it with others.
Although we have reached the ambitious target set, the repercussions for those affected by the fire will be felt for many months to come. I know there are many kind people in the village and beyond who would be quick to offer help if a need was known so, please don't hesitate to ask if and when further help is needed, financial or practical.
Every penny raised by the concert, along with the sum raised by the 'gofundme' campaign, and other kind donations, will reach those affected by the fire.
Thank you again for showing such kindness. Rev'd Steve

Wow - well on the way to £2000. After that the half-way target of £2500! Thank you :)

The money we raise will really benefit those who have lost their homes. It can't replace precious items of sentimental value or memories, but it say loud and clear that we care and want to do something practical to help! :D
