Families of the Uvalde Flood

Early Sunday morning August 12, 2018 three families with their children were trapped  by a sudden flood surge on the Nueces River north of Uvalde.   All 15 people were rescued by helicopter from  their vehicles floating down the river and atop trees around the Chalk Bluff River Resort and Park . However, they lost everything.   We are working with the local community to offer as much support to the families and children of this horrible incident as possible, but it is not enough to get them back on their feet.   They lost everything that they had with them: vehicles, shoes, clothes, phones, glasses, etc.  They are so thankful to have survived, but the reality of replacing all of their needed belongings is overwhelming during an already traumatic time.
