RSD Benefit for Fallen Firefighter

Donation protected
Roland Sands Design wants to honor the valient life of a fallen hero from Rapid City, South Dakota. Firefighters from the Black Hills, and from across the nation, are mourning the loss of one of their own after David Ruhl was killed battling a wildire in California this past week.

Ruhl, 38, was a firefighter from the Black Hills National Forest who died while scouting a fire site late Thursday evening. He had been on temporary assignment in the northern California area since June, and was on site where 24 large fires broke out in California's Modoc National Forest. He is survived by a wife and two children.

"Dave was a highly respected firefighter, a quiet leader,"said Craig Bobzien, forest supervisor for the Black Hills National Forest. "He was really passionate about his work, he was a great father, great husband, the kind of person you just respected as a human being."

We are making it our goal to help aid David's family who not only lost their own personal hero, but are mourning the loss of a loving husband and father as well. David Ruhl and his team of firefighters came together to help protect us during our time of need, and now it is our time to come together and help support his family during their time of need.

Please donate any spare nickel, dime, quarter, dollar, Lincoln, Jackson or Benjamin Franklin that you can.

Thank you in advance for your contribution,
