Faithfully Waiting

Hello friends and family,

My name is Caleb Beck. I am married to a lovely woman named Lauren and we have twin girls Ryleigh and Braelyn who are two gorgeous and active 4 year olds. We currently reside close to the beautiful mountainous city of Asheville, NC. We want to share with you our story and explain the calling that we believe the Lord has placed on our lives. It started not long after we were married when we were told that we wouldn’t be able to have kids like a normal couple. Lauren and I were both crushed because we both wanted children. We were presented with some options and we chose to pursue IVF. I won’t go into detail due to respecting the privacy of the individual but only God’s divine design can explain the way we were provided the funds to pursue IVF. The IVF process allowed us to have 5 fertilized eggs, 2 of which were implanted in Lauren around December 2012. The transferring of the embryos was a success and Lauren became pregnant with Ryleigh and Braelyn who were born July 31, 2013. One of the best and also scariest days of my life. Lauren had complications after the C-section and we almost lost her. Glory be to God working through those doctors who saved my precious wife. A few years passed and we decided to try transferring another embryo in August of 2016. It was unsuccessful. We were told the longer we waited the more our chances of success would decrease due to the age of the frozen embryos. We decided to try it again just last month (July 2017) and transferred our last two remaining embryos. Lauren became pregnant but unfortunately had a miscarriage. We were devastated. We had so many emotions and questions about why Lauren miscarried but at the end of it all we trusted God and His plan for our lives and hugged Ryleigh and Braelyn even tighter. We are even more grateful for what God has blessed us with. The journey has been tough, with highs and lows but through it all God has been our solid rock and we won’t be shaken. We have always wanted to adopt and had talked about it before choosing to do IVF, but at that time felt led to go a different route. After a lot of prayer, talking with close relatives and friends we feel the calling on our lives to adopt. Loving a child that’s not our own and giving them an opportunity to be a part of our family and also the family of God is something we whole heartedly believe in and want to pursue. We are excited to see how God might work and move in this situation and would love for you, the reader to be a part of our journey. Any monetary donation will be much appreciated but even more so, your prayers and loving support. Pray that God will open doors no man can close and close doors no man can open. May all honor and glory be to God and our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you again for your support. We hope that you join in on this journey with us and be apart of growing our family through adoption!

With love,
Caleb, Lauren, Ryleigh and Braelyn Beck
