Hi! I am Kimberly Fabijanczuk, a 22 year old kid in college.
On behalf of all my siblings— First, thank you for taking the time to stop by our page. Our dad, Greg, has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, specifically IGg Kappa. Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells, a blood cancer. While it is treatable, there is unfortunately no cure yet. Our dad starts chemotherapy, June 1st, 2018 and will be going for 6 sessions a month for 5 months. When that is done, he will undergo a Stem Cell Transplant where he will be hospitalized for almost 2 weeks and face a rough 3 month recovery. After this, it will be decided what treatments he will follow and the medical path he shall go down. My fellow 4 siblings - Jennifer (25), Steven (21), Rebecca (19), and Robert (16) - and I, will be with him every step of the way. Unfortunately, we’re all young kids; three of us are in college, one lives in Florida, and one is still in high school, and will only be able to financially help our dad so much. Our hope is that medical bills and financial hardships need not be a burden on our father’s back as he gears up for battle. Our dad headed into battle once and fought the hell out of his previous cancer, Follicular Lymphoma, and came out a champion. We are determined to see him victorious again. Our dad is a truly wonderful father who showed us light and true love when our childhoods were bleak and dark. Has has raised us as a single dad into pretty nifty kids so far and shown us how to be passionate and hard working. Our dad is a social little butterfly who enjoys his jokes and knows how to make people smile. We ask that you please consider in making any donation, whether it be monetary, thoughts, prayers, kind words, or any type other form- anything and everything helps! If we surpass our current goal(which may change depending on what else will be needed), please be assured that all excess donations will be sent to the International Multiple Myeloma Foundation (https://www.myeloma.org/) and the Multiple Myeloma Research foundation (https://themmrf.org/) so we can all work towards curing this terrible disease.
