Smart Family Adoption 2015

We are the Smart Family. Tom is worship pastor at First Baptist Inola OK and Missy is a stay at home mom. Our daughter Adeline is almost a year and a half old and the love of our life. We waited 8 years for God to give us a child. We are so thankful God gave us Addie.
Three years ago we began the process of raising money for our adoption after we found out we could not have biological children. After a year of fundraising for our adoption we only had $6,000. It was not enough for a domestic adoption so we started to research Embryo Adoption also called Snowflake Adoption. We felt the Lord was leading us to adopt embryos. These embryos are from families that had gone through in vitro to have children. Sometimes these families have left over, extra embryos that they were not going to use for different reasons. These families choose to donate their extra embryos to be adopted by families like ours, instead of destroying them or donating them to scientific research.

When we adopted Addie and her sibilings two years ago, we adopted all 6 of them. We first adopted 4 of them and then Addie was born. We now have 2 frozen embryos left that are her biological siblilngs. Because it's been over 2 years since we started this process the first time, have moved states and changed jobs, we have to start the adoption process for Addie's siblings all over again. The cost of adopting them has gone up over the last few years and we are required to complete another adoption homestudy.
Our friends and family were so faithful to help support us through prayer and donating monetary gifts to us when we were going through this process, the first time, to adopt Addie. We have no doubt that our friends and family will be faithful again and that God will use all of you to provide for us this time as well. We love you all and are so thankful for your help, support, prayers, and giving.
Our most urgent need right now and first goal is $1,600 so we can get our homestuday started as this is the most time consuming portion of the process and we need to get it started as soon as we raise the funds.
