Sierra Leone Mission Trip

Hi my name is fille kinyamahanga. I was born in central africa congo. when i was 5 years old, we got attacked by rebels and we had to leave  our village. since there were not cars we had to walk for 2 weeks from one village to another. i remember i had a flip-flop that didn't even last for 2 days. God protected us from the evil on our long journer untill we reached a small city called kalemi.  since then my life became a roller coaster. i never had a chance to stay in one place. their were wars every day, we would spend the day in our homes  but nights in the bushes. in june of 2004 there was a transition of Government in congo that was found against tutsi congolese. the main goal for this  campain was to kill every one who spoke a rwandan language or who looks like them, as result the tribe of banyamulenge are the ones who speaks rwandese language , we were subjected to be killed. we had to get out of the country seeking for safety and the near country was Burundi. on the night of 08-13-2004 memebers of FNL entered the camp while some of us were sleeping. they were singing Gods song. so we though that it was just people praising God, but we were so wrong. out of now where they enter the camp and start to kill people, pouring gas on the tent. i can still hear the sounds of gun shots and people crying asking for help. in one night 160 people lost their lives  and more than 250 were injured including my mom, big sister and my brother. i was the lucky one to be alive and i know their is a reason why God wanted me to survive. i remember i had to play dead so i can survive. after the massacre my dad was helping my mom and my brother in the hospital. so i had to stay in the refugee camp to see if i can collecte food  for my family when they get out of the hospital. i remember when i was sitting outside and this lady came up to me wearing the UNHCR t-shirt and she wanted to ask me questions but since their was a langauge barrier she just stood there smiling and handed a small piece of paper that has Matthew 19: 26  and it said with man this is impossible, but with God all is possible." only if i can see the lady now  and thank her. since then i always wanted to be that kind of a person who makes different in other people's life. we stayed in another refugee camp for  3 years. life was very hard, my mom would wake up every morning and cook this sweet stuff called mandazi, and i will go with her to the market to sell it everyday so we can have food to eat and clothe to wear. to get to the market we had to walk for almost 2 hours walking and when we get there sometimes we don't even sell anything.  March 20, 2007  we had the chance to come to the Unite states  , where i have freedom, sleep at night and not thinking that i will be dead the next day,. a place where i have a choice of food  and closet full of clothes and shoes, why not thanking this Lord who gave me this opportunity to be who he wants me to do. i survived the genocide so i can be the next people to spread his Gospel everywhere, by starting in sierra leone. Ihave been in America for almost 10 years  and now this my time to help those inneed.  when i joined Southwestern Assemblies of God University, i had no idea of how my life was gone be. i am now been called to be a part of something big. i am going to my first short-term mission trip in sierra leone.  I am a full time student and i am not working . i am majoring in social work, my family also would not be able to help due to the job they have. everyone who will help my dream come true God will bless you abundantly. we are going as a team for church planting. i am going to use the fund for the airplan tickets and the meals during our stay. we are going over there from May 27th to jun 13th. i am going to need the funds a s soon as poosible i have few months left. by you guys helping me  it means everything to me. my life will on the right path and all my dream will be coming true. i will not be the only one helping these people in Sierra Leone, you guys will be the one being presented by me in sierra leone. by helping it not only giving out your money , but also doing missionairy along with me. i am sure their is a reward in heaven waiting for you in heaven.  Titus 1:5, " the reason i left you in crete was that you might straighten out what was left unfinished and apoint elders in every twon, as i directed you. "  when paul wrote this to Titus it because God had told him to tell him. and he i feel like right one God wants me to be Titus so i can help what is need in sierra leone.
i am very grateful with all your help. i will pray everyday so God will bless you guys twice as you helped me and more. God will is going to multiple everything in your life. thank you very much.
