Prosthesis for my brother

This is my brother, Jose, and he just underwent surgery to remove his right eye due to some complications. More on that later.
A little back story on him. Jose is my middle brother and the person I admire the most. He was a premature baby and was born with cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. Doctors said he would not live. Then, that he would not be able to move. After that, he wouldn’t be able to talk or be able to learn and attend school. They even said he wouldn’t be able to walk. But with each prognosis, my brother found a way to prove them wrong. Not only was he able to walk and attend college, he was also able to learn how to drive. His sheer determination and commitment to not let cerebral palsy determine his way of life or his capabilities. This is why he is the person I admire the most.
Back to the eye surgery. A couple of years ago we found out he was completely blind on his right eye and that the eye needed constant care and supervision. The eye itself was calcifying and becoming almost useless. Care and treatment managed to somewhat help with the problems, but not heal them. Excess pressure and light sensitivity made it hard for him to be in the sun for prolonged periods of time and being in bright places. Add the migraines from the pressure and his quality of life was obviously deteriorating. His current doctor recommended removing the eye and putting a prosthesis. Surgery is covered by insurance but the glass eye (prosthesis) is not.
The reason I’m asking you all for help is because I would like to help my family and give this to my brother. With the move to San Antonio and baby Evie, I am not financially able to completely cover this expense. But with your help, I could ensure my brother gets the prosthesis he needs to continue his path in life without a pirate patch. This would mean the world to him, and there’s nothing I want more than to ease his life in any way possible.
