Why Do We Do What We Do?
Technology is moving at a rapid pace and we believe it is tearing in-person communication apart. We think we can help.
Hi. We are Fugen (Future Generation). We don't want a future generation where we all communicate with each other from our bed's through video chat, virtual reality, and drones. We see a different future generation.
We are a group of three students (Jannelle, Travis, and Mat) who are trying to connect people in person, with the use of technology.
How?
Through a series of products we want to change the trajectory of how we are communicating. Our first product comes in the form of an app called Schmooz.
We envision a world where you can go to any event and using Schmooz, feel comfortable approaching any person and striking up a mutually beneficial conversation.
Step 1 - Download the app
Step 2 - Answer questions about yourself
Step 3 - Register for Events
Step 4 - Get a list of people, also going to that event, who are into what you are into and want to talk about the same things you want to talk about.
Step 5 - Schmooz! :)
Where We Are Now
Right now, we are working on our prototype/alpha to begin testing. We have a developer (Travis) and a designer (Jannelle) which is the duo needed to move forward. Once we test our prototype, we will be using Schmooz at small events for our beta test.
What is the money going towards?

$650 - Two trademarks ($325 each)
