I am reaching out to all of you. If you love your mother as much as I do, my mom recently lost her husband about five years ago. We decided to make a life change and move to the country where the humidity wasn’t as bad as where we came from. We purchased some property with a trailer that she kept as her only residence. She has insurance on this trailer, but unfortunately, she had a small water leak that went unnoticed for a few months. Because of where it was located, the leak contained itself from our view, so it went unnoticed until a small cup of water appeared on the floor. By this point, the damage had already been done—bigger damage than we could ever expect. We found mold in a lot of it, all in the walls and the air conditioning ducts. It consumes the whole trailer. Unfortunately, my mom’s health is not good. She is on oxygen almost full-time. We couldn’t understand why she was not improving after numerous doctor visits, but now we have found the reason. We are working the best we can to get her health back to where she can be independent. As of now, she is residing in a very small bedroom that we have that is not handicap accessible. We are trying to raise the money to build her a small 600 square-foot residence that is handicap accessible for her to live in. This will have to be out of pocket since the insurance company has told us they will not cover the mold. We are devastated to find out her house is uninhabitable and the insurance company says they will not cover the mold. She has paid full coverage insurance on everything she has owned in her life, never asking for help, but when you really need it, they deny you. Please help us for basic living with handicap accommodations. Please donate what you can if you can. I know times are hard for everybody. Trying to help, even if it’s a dollar, it will help. Thank you so much for helping my mother, even if it’s just in prayer. God bless you.
