My name is Hanah Odom. My husband, Mike Odom, and I are creating this campaign for a dear friend of ours, Chuck (Charles Hurst).

Last year, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He has an inoperable mass in his lower intestine which resulted in having to have an colostomy. He has also had several blood transfusions. The oncologists have tried targeted radiation to shrink the mass, which did not work. He is now undergoing chemo, but had a severe seizure his first round resulting in an overnight stay at the hospital. I will post an update on how his next treatment goes.

Chuck is originally from Maryland but moved to Bogalusa 17 years ago. He was a long time employee for Scott Burt at Scott's A/C and heat. He also attends services at Ben's Ford Baptist Church.

Chuck was approved for Medicaid, which covers treatments, transportation, and most medicines. However, he needs help with some medical supplies (ostomy bags, sanitizers, protein drinks, and so much more) and a couple bills. He is always cold, so his gas bill has gone way up.

Most importantly, keep him in your prayers as this situation is really starting to wear him down.
