My name is Nikki Schrock, and I am a medical student in Houston, Texas. My aunt, Lisa Nicholson, and her family are victims of the recent flooding brought on by Hurricane Harvey. Please consider donating to help them get back on their feet. On Monday, August 28, due to rapidly rising waters from Hurricane Harvey and the Barker Reservoir, they evacuated from their home in Cinco Ranch and walked four blocks in waist deep water to safety. While other parts of Houston began to recover, they were not even allowed back in to their home until Wednesday (day 10). They had close to 3 ft of water in their home. They have lost everything on the first floor. They do not have flood insurance, and the cost to rebuild will be extensive. Please consider donating to their recovery! Even a small gift will help alleviate their burden. They have a long road ahead before their home is livable again. They are currently staying with friends, but will be moving to a temporary apartment next weekend.
The donations will be used toward repairing their home and replacing their two flooded vehicles. The donations will be given directly to Lisa Nicholson as the beneficiary via GoFundMe.
