Mezzo Thai on the Move: Surviving Covid

Hi everyone, Jacqui here, owner of the Mezzo Thai Restaurant. I have been having a hard time coming up with the right words to express everything that has been going on, so here goes nothing.

It is with desperation we (my family and my lovely restaurant staff) are writing this. As you know, Covid has hit small businesses very hard and as we go into a new year it is with regret to announce we will be losing our location on Gage Blvd as we simply cannot afford it. We have exhausted our finances and financial assistance options and have had to make the tough, short-notice decision to move  from our home of over 7 years.

For the last 20 years I have given my heart and soul to the community through my business with my passion for fresh Thai cuisine. I have been able to support my staffs livelihoods, as well working heavily with the local community from charities and non-profits, to other small businesses and educational set ups to pass along my knowledge and get people excited about cooking!

We are humbly asking for donations to help fund our transition to eventually open in a smaller space and continue serving the community. We love this area and will continue to try our hardest to keep going. 

Please feel free to come by and say hello before we go, and we can answer any questions or for us to simply use this as an in-person opportunity to thank you for your support! We are in the progress of setting up a transition Pop-Up kitchen to try to keep on providing jobs, keep your bellies full of goodness, and generally just keep the ball rolling until we can open up properly again in our new space. 

By supporting our move you will be helping us re-establish ourselves, so we can  continue giving back to the community for many years to come.
