My Granddaughter Charlotte Amelia "Baby Charlie"
Born on April 6, 2016
has been diagnosed with an extremely rare neurological disease! Only about 400 cases in the WORLD. It is
BILATERAL PERISYLVIAN POLYMICROGYRIA (BPP)
caused by a malformation in the brain. At this time Baby Charlie cannot maintain safe levels of oxygen and must remain in the hospital while her big sister Alexandra "Alex" 2 yrs old waits at home for her.
Her parents; my son and daughter in law Keith & Jennifer Bent have not left her side in the NICU.
I am hoping that we could all give a little to help defray the costs of all the extras that occur trying to be with Charlie every day and keep Alex on a somewhat normal schedule. Jen and Keith are both out on extended leave from their jobs.Their medical bills are covered by their medical insurance.
Its all the other stuff that still goes on...... monthly housing costs, rent, utilities food, Alex's daycare so she can be with her "friends" while Mom and Dad take care of Charlie. The parking fees, the take out meals from the hospital cafeteria,the gas back and forth to the hospital. The list goes on and on.......
I know Keith and Jen have wonderful friends that have been asking me "What can we do?" So here it is!
Keith and Jen are wonderful parents that are scared to death right now and I hope by giving a little we can help relieve some of their stress. I know Keith and Jen will be forever grateful!! xo
