Dad has cancer

Donation protected
Dad (Leon Campbell) started feeling bad a few months ago and continued to feel worse with each day. After several trips to MD Anderson we were told he has a tumor in his left lung, a spot on his kidney and a mass on his shoulder. All along he and Mom kept telling everyone there about Dad's horrible headaches, dizziness and nausea. They were told these symptoms had nothing to do with his cancer. He became so ill Mom took him to the ER. They immediately took an x-ray of his brain. After even more tests in Corpus Christi we now know he has 20-30 lesions in his brain. He spent several days in the hospital and was put on serious doses of steroids and is feeling some better. He is still dizzy, is cold all the time, eyesight has gotten much worse and now developed a rash that is driving him crazy. He will start radiation on his brain late this week. He will have chemo once all the radiation treatments are done.

Dad is a very Godly man. I was raised right! He has been the lead deacon in our church for many, many years. He has been the owner of Campbell Tile in Rockport for a very long time. His pastimes are playing Bluegrass Gospel music with the "Lost But Found" and building and restoring musical instruments. He has served our Lord most all of his life as music director, Sunday school teacher and many other services too many to name.

As a self-employed business owner, he and Mom do not have any kind of retirement fund. Their income was solely from Social Security and Dad's business. Obviously Dad had to shut down his business. Their income isn't enough to pay monthly needs and medical bills. They are trying to sell everything that isn't a necessity just to get by.

We covet your prayers most of all. If you can give something to help my parents we will be so very grateful. Every penny will help. Thank you and God bless all who read this.
