Sean "Binkie" Tyler Stem, age 26, Burlington, VT, passed away on March 29, 2016 after fighting a long, terrible, battle of addiction.
Over the past 11 days, we've raised over $8,000 from friends and family which is making an enormous difference to Sean's family. Their energies are now focused on creating a foundation to improve services and access to treatment for those sturggling with addiction so no more lives are lost. It is a lofty goal, as many more are sure to be taken before better treatment resources are made available.
Sean's mother, Kim, is collaborating with family, friends, and community members to help identify gaps in services, provide information and resources, and advocate for those in recovery to have ready access to support and services to improve outcomes for those in the grip of opiate addiction.
Please offer what you can when you can knowing that there are many dedicated family members and community experts contributing to making the best use of this money and honor Sean's memory.
