Family of 7 lost house in fire

My name is Karen Fisher and here’s my story. Our family of 7 fell victim to a home fire in December 9 2019. While we were sleeping, a pinched electrical wire started a fire in our attached garage still not determined what cause it but fire Marshall is calling it that. luckily for us, my brother-in-law was home sleeping in the living room and noticed the smoke and came pounding on all three doors saying “fire we need to get out”. None of our two smoke detectors went off, so if my brother-in-law was at work that day I would probably be telling a very different story, or worse yet, not here to tell the story at all. Even though our local firefighters arrived at the scene within just a few minutes, the fire was aggressive and engulfed our home quickly. We lost nearly all of our material belongings, including three of our cars but we are fortunate in that all six of us were able to escape the house without being injured. The hardest part was having to stand there watching helplessly as everything we built up over the years burned to the ground…and then having the overwhelming sense of worries and sadness that came afterwards. In addition to losing three of our cars, all of our clothing was destroyed. We literally left the home in our pajamas and were unable to carry anything. Are pets didn’t want to listen to us when we called for them cause they where scared so, we lost 8 pets seven dogs and one cat. I ask you kindly for any donation that you can comfortably afford. Once we get back on our feet and our lives get back to normal, our family will “pay it forward” as much as we can to help other fire victims, since we know the pain of going through it ourselves.
