My sons sweet girlfriend, Elliana, suffered a terrible leg injury while playing volleyball in Cedar Falls last Saturday morning.

She came down from a block and the girl on the other side was in the net and her foot was over the line so when Elli came down she got tripped up over her foot and snapped her leg about 3 inches above her ankle. Elli was rushed to the hospital in cedar falls and had surgery on her leg that afternoon. She had a rod placed in her left leg and will go back in two weeks to have the staples removed. AND this was on the day of their homecoming!! Needless to say there was no dinner and dancing that evening.

Please, please consider helping out Elli and her amazing family as they navigate her recovery which includes 24 hour care for Elli as she is 2.5 weeks “homebound”. And 12 week recovery in total.
