Guatemala Mission Trip

Donation protected
Hello! This summer I will be returning to Patzún, Guatemala for the third time along with other girls from my school, to do mission work in San Bernardino School and the San Francisco Orphanage. My Oakland Catholic High School community has been invested in this annual mission trip since 2012 and is working towards eliminating poverty in Patzún, Guatemala. When I visit Guatemala, I will pack two bags; one small backpack carries my personal items, and one large suitcase holds donations intended for the orphanage, school, clinic, and the families we will visit. In addition to these items, we also deliver a monetary donation. This year we set a goal to raise $20,000. I am asking that you join us in changing the lives of these children. A donation of any amount of money, even only five dollars, could make an enormous difference in a child’s life as the money adds up. A generous donation of $120 will cover the expenses for a year of education at San Bernardino for one child. Our club has a direct connection to the group of Franciscan nuns who run the orphanage and school. Therefore, we know the money is only being used for tuition for the orphans and other desperately poor children, improving the infrastructure of the school and orphanage, and fostering an on-going relationship between San Bernardino and Oakland Catholic.

Thank you so much for your support!
