Saving Mia
Mia came into my life the day after I had lost my dearest cat, Cas, to cancer. I saw Mia and instantly fell in love with her beauty and poise. When I found out that Mia was put up for adoption simply because her owner did not want her any more, I knew I had to take this lovely girl into my life and into my heart.
After I suffered injuries from a car accident, Mia became my sole comfort. She would literally come when I called her. During this critical time in my life, Mia answered my call for help. I feel it is my duty to return the favor and answer her call for help now.
Recently, Mia was diagnosed with a fatal disease known as FIP for which there was no cure. However, new life-saving drugs can give Mia a new lease on life. These drugs are based on research by Dr. Niels Pedersen and are costly, (ranging between $90-$140 per vial). This is in addition to supportive veterinary care. But we are committed to fighting for Mia's life!
Currently, I am out of work because of illness and will be unable to afford Mia's treatment without help. Mia is truly my support system and I want to be here for her in her time of need.
