Help Romel Get to Spain

Donation protected
I am extremely proud of my cousin, Romel Flores for gaining admission to CREAT - 'Creación y formación en artes circenses' - a professional circus academy in Spain. Romel is from San Salvador, El Salvador where he has been working tirelessly to introduce acrobatic arts to youth in his community as a social intervention to combat violence and promote the arts! In spite of his limited resources, Romel's passion has already moved mountains.  After being featured in local news and other outlets for his positive community work, Romel left his home in San Salvador in 2018 for Mexico City where he has made many sacrifices to train at 'Cirko de Mente,' a school for performing circus arts! In addition to a physically grueling & mentally challenging curriculum, Romel has sustained multiple odd jobs while in school to fund his tuition and living expenses, without ever complaining or giving up.  During his time in Mexico City, Romel received heartbreaking news of his little brother's tragic passing as a victim of gang violence back home. While this shook Romel, he has pushed through the pain with ferver. His passion has been his driving force and his hard work has paid off, as he has been accepted into a notable academy in Spain where he will have the opportunity to learn from professional performance artists - some of whom have performed in Cirque du Soleil.  While Romel is actively working on obtaining  a scholarship for his studies, funding his travel to Spain is a present barrier for which he needs your support.  In these dark times, Romel's wholesome dream to perform as a professional acrobat in a contemporary circus brings a much needed smile. Romel has already inspired many young people in his neighborhood in San Salvador. He represents hope for many who cheer him on, and look up to him as he relentlessly pursues his dream in spite of hardship.  Please join me in helping Romel reach his next destination! This fundraiser will help provide toward the tuition deposit for his one year long specialization, and support travel and visa expenses.  A little will go a long way in ensuring that Romel continues his artistic & professional development. He has big dreams and hopes to someday return home to provide a positive outlet for vulnerable youth, by inspiring & teaching children to express themselves through the arts. Any contribution will go a long way & his work will be sure to put a smile on your face. On behalf of Romel, thank you.
